About

The Birkbeck Short Film Festival is an international short film showcase celebrating global voices in cinema. Organized by the Birkbeck Short Filmmaking Society members, the festival will provide a platform for emerging and established filmmakers to present their work, connect with industry peers, and engage with a diverse audience. The festival welcomes submissions from all over the world across the genres of Documentary, Animation, Comedy, Drama, Horror, and Fiction.
The festival also embraces one of the university’s major goals: to celebrate and promote diversity. This commitment will be reflected both in the films and the community atmosphere of the event. We aim to highlight underrepresented voices, stories from different cultures, and themes that foster inclusivity.
